Purpose of TSC Surat XI
What is TSC Surat XI?
TSC Surat XI is the annual flagship representative cricket team of the Telugu Sports Community. Selected once every year, it represents the best Telugu cricket talent from Surat across all formats and roles.
Being selected for TSC Surat XI is the highest individual honour a TSC player can receive — recognising not just performance, but character, community contribution, and fair play.
Represent the Community
Carry the TSC flag in inter-community and invitational tournaments across Gujarat.

Serve as role models for younger Telugu cricketers in Surat and beyond.

Eligibility Criteria
SPL Participation
Must have participated in at least one TSC SPL season as a registered player.
Community Membership
Must hold an approved TSC Community Membership with good standing.
Minimum Matches
Must have played a minimum of 5 competitive matches in TSC tournaments.
Performance Metrics
Batting average ≥ 20 OR bowling economy ≤ 8 OR 3+ MOM awards in a season.
Fair Play Record
No disciplinary actions or fair play violations in the current or previous season.
Community Contribution
Active participation in TSC community events, volunteering, or leadership roles.
Eligibility Note
Players must satisfy at least 4 of the 6 criteria to be considered eligible. The selection committee has the final authority to waive criteria in exceptional cases.
Selection Process
December 1–15
Nomination Phase
Community members and coaches nominate eligible players. Self-nominations accepted with supporting stats.
December 16–22
Shortlist Phase
Selection committee reviews nominations against eligibility criteria. Top 20 players shortlisted.
December 23–28
Final Selection
Committee deliberates on final 11 + 4 reserves. Captain and Vice Captain appointed.
January 1
Announcement
Official TSC Surat XI squad announced on New Year's Day. Published on website and social media.

How Metrics Are Calculated
• Stats are pulled directly from Player Rankings and match performances recorded in the TSC system.
• Only matches played in official TSC tournaments (SPL, SCC) count toward eligibility metrics.
• MOM awards are tracked automatically from match results entered by the admin.
• Stats are frozen at the end of each season for selection purposes.
